Christ washing the feet of His Disciples (http://christopherklitou.com/icon_washing_of_the_disciples_feet.htm)
Kathisma from the Matins of Holy Thursday
Tone 1. The soldiers watching.
The One who made lakes and springs and seas, instructing us in surpassing humility, girding himself with a towel, washed his disciples’ feet, humbling himself in the abundance of his compassion and exalting us from the depths of wickedness, he who alone loves humankind.
Christ washing the feet of the disciples, with the surrounding Greek text reading: "I came not to serve, but to serve" (https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEZRxwtqGf5sIT1qmEa0Rkny_IPIHTMOETzLRRiB_jdo4mIGsoPFuiJL4XtpE-jmofSy_r9QOaZDJdKpBrios4KftNtUveuWrKmCeg3YFm1rAiEr64F-IjZqU61Ej-D2EQUrpxNG3VrDI/s1600/Niptir-4.jpg)
Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us and save us! Amen!
