The Taxiarch of the Powers on high, Michael, the First among the divine ranks, today has gathered us together to celebrate, for he proceeds among us every day, and protects us all from every temptation of the devil. Come, therefore, O lovers of feasts and lovers of Christ, and let us gather the flowers of their virtues, being purified in mind, and steadfast in conscience, and let us honor the Synaxis of the Archangel, for he stands before God without ceasing, and offers up the thrice-holy hymn, interceding for the salvation of our souls.
