Elders Ieronymos of Simonopetra and Sophrony of Essex officially Canonized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate
On November 27th, 2019, Elders Ieronymos of Simonopetra (who served as Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Simonpetra, and later as the Steward and Spiritual Father of the Dependency of the Ascension of Christ, Vyrona, Attica)  and Sophrony Sakharov of Essex (Archimandrite from Mount Athos and Founder of the Holy Monastery of the Precious Forerunner, Essex, England) were officially canonized by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
