"Come, let us rejoice in the Lord as we relate this present mystery..."

Christ is born! Glorify Him!

Come, let us rejoice in the Lord as we relate this present mystery: the middle wall of partition has been dissolved, the flaming sword has been turned back, and the Cherubim depart from the tree of life, and I partake of the nourishment of Paradise, which I was deprived of due to disobedience. For the unchangeable icon of the Father, the character of His infinity, takes on the form of a servant, coming forth from the unwed Mother, without suffering loss. For that which He was, He has remained, being truly God, and that which He was not, He has taken on, becoming man out of love for mankind. Let us cry out to Him: O You Who were born of a Virgin, O God, have mercy on us.

Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us and save us! Amen!
