Do you know of any place I can find a published copy of the akathist to St. Paraskevi in English?
Thank you.
In Christ,
Sarah
I am unaware of an existing translation in published English, which is why I posted this amateur translation of mine.
May the intercessions of St. Paraskevi help and protect all those throughout the world that need her help.
Thank you very much. May I cite your translation in a paper for a graduate class?
In Christ,
Sarah
You may cite any of the source material on this site. I would prefer to have a professor or Greek translator double-check my translation of the section you are citing, if possible, though I understand this is not always feasible.
The author of this Akathist, as listed on the source site, is "Theoteknes the Nun, Agiostefanitissis" (i.e. from the Monastery of St. Stephen). Please follow the link at the bottom of the page for the originial Greek text.
May God and the Saint bless your studies.
Thank you so much!
can you provide the link for the original Greek text? Thanks!
The original source cite is lo longer active, but here is another site with the same Greek text: http://agiosmgefiras.blogspot.com/2011/06/blog-post_6603.html
