A Prayer to St. Matrona of Moscow

Christ is risen! Truly He is risen!

Prayer to St. Matrona of Moscow (amateur translation)
by Nun Isidora Agierotheitissa
(to be read in the Compline)
O Master Lord Jesus Christ our God, Who are the Creator of all creation and the fastener and all-wise guide, Who through Your word alone separated the light from darkness, and Who made us to walk in Your light, Who is glorified in Father and Spirit, and is ceaselessly hymned by the Angels, Who grants us to become inheritors of Your unapproachable and eternal Light, the true Light and the immortal source of life, Who makes Your Saints who follow You to become partakers of the Light that is eternal and pure, Who calls us all through them to the Light of life, and by Your unspeakable compassion, through them, grants to those who entreat You, Who through Your incomparable power, proved Yourself wondrous in Your Saints, O only compassionate, and she whom You sanctified through Your grace, which she has then poured forth to us, O all-merciful Lord, Who compassionately consoles us through the gifts of healing through Your Saints, commanding us to call upon them, Who through them works infinite wonders for all those who believe with their whole heart, You Whose righteous Saint Matrona, who struggled ascetically in these latter years in Russia, and was glorified by the wonders and great powers of Your all-holy Name, but who then glorified in return and magnified You throughout the world, O only powerful one, Who through her fiery eyes shined Your unwaning Light, to behold the radiance of Your beauty, Who over many years founded her weakened legs upon the unfailing rock of Your commandments, O only Mighty One, Who made her wise to teach Your divine commandments and to strengthen many in the faith, O Good One, Who granted her to walk upon the path of chastity, to withstand the sickened flesh, and to take up the bitter yoke of slavery to the tyrants joyously, and to take trials and scoffing as healthy food and as a promise of the unassailable joy, therefore now, O Master, through Your Righteous one's intercessions, ever grant to us who entreat You, and look upon us with compassion, and grant now to those who entreat You, O most-merciful, the gifts of Your grace. And make us worthy to walk in Your light, and to ever study Your will in our hears, and to thoroughly keep Your commandments. That we might be made worthy to serve You in truth and to speak Your Holy will in truth, and to keep love towards You in purity, as You ordained, O only compassionate, and to be granted Your glory and to partake of the radiance of Your light, with all of those who have pleased You throughout the ages. For to You belong the honor and the greatness, and to You belong the worship, together with Your co-beginningless Father and Your consubstantial and life-creating Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Christ is risen from the dead, by death trampling down upon death, and to those in the tombs, bestowing life!
Truly the Lord is risen!
